Hello

Thank you for taking the time to visit my photography website! I’m Marisa.

I’m fortunate that my parents always had a camera on to catalogue my siblings and I’s childhood. I treasure those memories that showed the more mundane aspects: my dad in the garage working on his cherry red Ingersoll tractor, dirty jeans, and a brown plaid button up and me riding circles around him on my bike. Seeing that photo, I can smell the gasoline, grease, and dirt. I can feel the crunch of the gravel on driveway under my feet, the summer sun stretching across my face, reaching out seemingly forever. Those photos elicit a visceral response, one that will always link me to my family, childhood, and home.

I cherish being able to revisit those memories, and in turn want to give my clients the same opportunity. I work hard to show authentic emotions in my work. I love giving cues that will have you doubling over in laughter, or snuggling with your baby, but I also make sure to stand back and let life happen. Whether it's a precious family moment, or a milestone event, I am committed to capturing each unique story with authenticity and artistry.

On my website, you will find a curated selection of some my best works. Each photograph represents a journey and shared experience. I invite you to join me in exploring the world through my lens, and I hope that these images bring you as much joy and inspiration as they bring me.

Fun Facts

  • I love reading, cooking, gardening, trail running, and problem-solving puzzles!

  • I love Stranger Things, the Canadian production of Anne of Green Gables, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Kill Bill (V1&2), Studio Ghibli films, Star Wars, zombie flicks, and so much more, haha.

  • Soup! All the soups.

  • Sam from Lord of the Rings. He remembered to bring the good spices to Mordor. And knows the value of a good potato.

And Anne from Anne of Green Gables. I think our chaotic energy would fit together nicely.

Because being in front of the camera…

…can feel vunerable (at first!), here’s some of me!
